Background In this chapter, I will devote myself to a 30,000 feet explanation of  how and why I am writing about Vedic texts.  My study of Vedas and Upanishads in the last 15 years leads me to say with high degree of confidence, that the Vedic texts actually texts of cosmic evolution.   For eg., uSa, the Dawn in the Rg Vedic texts is the dawn of Universe and not the morning dawn that we see daily. They are texts of Science whose description of events match mostly with our current understand and also exceed our understanding. Like any science book, Rg Veda talks about various evolutionary forces that work at the dawn of Universe. Probably these texts got handed over across a civilizational bridge or an evolutionary bridge. The new owners of Vedas realized that these were great texts of 'truth'. Brahma – The Gravity According to science, Gravity is the first property to be expressed by this energy and matter. According to current scientific understanding Gravity was the first force to be separated from a unified force-field. According to Puranas, Brahma is the first one to come out and symbolizes the start of creation in the Universe, as science talks about Gravity. Nasadiya Suktam - Executive Summary At first existed invisible waters. None knows what it hid, how dense or deep it was. The invisible waters were beyond all the matter/energy, space and time. In that is brought in that 'One', who is the 'Oblation' (svadha). This svadha is matter/energy less and timeless.   kAma appears and exists as the first seed manas of all. Wise people know that unlike truth that binds, untruth does not bind. Hence with kAma, the 'One' is no longer bound, it starts expanding. The rays that expand crookedly in all directions, makes the seed glorious, as seed becomes the oblation below, action marks the external expansion. Thus matter/energy/space/time manifest. AUM  "Aum" has been an enchanting word, for several centuries in the Indian sub-continent. "Aum" is pronounced more as "Om". It has gained a religious connotation throughout these years, as a way of communicating with God. But Aum, I suspect, was designed by our rishis with a different idea. Aum, in my view represents the Universe as defined in the Standard Model. M andukya upanishad explains Aum in its entirety. People think Aum is made of three sounds. But it is made of four quarters. Three sounds followed by a Silence. Aum needs to be followed by a silence always. Without the silence, Aum is not complete. Including the silence, Aum is made of four quarters, as Mandukya Upanishad calls it.
