The Gender differentiation

Background Before I continue with Cosmological constant and quintessence model in Rg Veda, I thought a background on gender difference could help put my arguments in proper perspective as I translate the slokas in particular ways. Basis of Gender difference The gender differentiation in living beings and in specific human beings is a subject of great intrigue and interest. Various philosophies have been written about it. What is the basis of this gender difference in reality..? Can we make some rational sense of it..? sthula, sukshma, kArana In Sanskrit every noun has a gender. There are three genders. PuMling (Masculine), Striling (Feminine) and Napumsakaling (Neuter).  The selection of gender for different nouns appear arbitrary. But in my understanding they are not arbitrary. They are well defined. PuMling (masculine gender) describes the ‘Sthula’ or Gross or physical or external representation of an object or being. Sthula is massive, physical, gross or ext...

The Maha Shiva Ratri..

Shiva Linga is actually a Hyperboloid on which the real particles of the universe lie De-mystifying Shiva For us now, Shiva is a god with trishul, trinetra, snake around his neck, in loin clotes, with matted hair. For some he roams in cemetries. For some he is a mad man. And a modern construct that sells is 'Shiva is Adi Yogi'. For 'scholars' Shiva is a Puranic god who has acquired prominence post vedic period. Shiva acquired further prominence in South in the early centuries after Christ. Shiva is an epithet of Rudra. Shiva is not widely talked about in Vedas. For 'linguists' who try to 'interpret' or translate vedic scriptures, Shiva could mean auspicious, benefic, gracious and 'in whom all things lie'. Who is Shiva..? In my understanding of Rg Vedic slokas where Shiva is talked about, Shiva is Energy. Shiva is Energy and Vishnu is Mass. Shi (lie down) va (in which) which means in which all things lie or 'at rest' is Ener...

Tripura Rahasya - My understanding...

Dedicated to my friend Thirumurthy who asked a question on Tripura Rahasya and hence I wrote this  Quantum physics  says that our vacuum is filled with vibrations (Rudra) of Energy (Shiva).  These vibrations can exist at a high energy level  for a moment and be at a very low level another moment violating law of conservation of energy.  At specific energy levels, these vibrations  can manifest particle pairs (quarks, antiquarks, leptons/anti-leptons) which the Universe is made of.  Quantum physics says things can get created and destroyed without a cause.  It says a specific ‘cause’ may not preceed an effect or every effect may not have a cause (it could be probabilistic, random). There need not be any harmony in the Universe. For eg. a Higgs vacuum decay can destroy Universe for no reason, far beyond us. In Tripura Rahasya,  Dattatreya says “ Carvakas  say that some effects are not traceable to their efficient causes. There are...

Aditya Hrdayam Again - Part 45 -Rg veda mandala 10.165

Background The cosmological constant problem As different fields of studies like Cosmology (involving gravitation and relativity theories), Quantum Electro dynamics (QED), Quantum Field Theory (QFT) emerged in their own ways, their contribution to each others also started emerging. A case in point was cosmological constant. Einstein devised the cosmological constant (whose units are cm -2 ) from a cosmology (Gravitation and Relativity) perspective to balance the curvature of space and define a static universe. Einstein abandoned the concept after Hubble 's 1929 discovery that all galaxies outside the Local Group (the group that contains the Milky Way Galaxy) are moving away from each other, implying an overall expanding universe. From 1929 until the early 1990s, most cosmology researchers assumed the cosmological constant to be zero. Since the 1990s, several developments in observational cosmology, especially the discovery of the accelerating universe from dis...
