Directions - From Brhadharanyaka Upanishad

Background Rudra are the quantum force-fields. prANa are the energy in these force-fields. This energy moves in vacuum of spacetime, without a medium in the force-fields. When the force-fields and energy in force-fields dominated the Universe, the Universe is said to be in the Quantum state. cakSu is 'reception' of energy in these force-fields, where transmission of energy happens without a medium. Hence cakSu is translated as 'Sight' as seeing happens by reception of energy transmitted without a medium. When force-fields interact with each other, such 'interaction' of energy between different force-fields leads to reception of energy between the force-fields mutually.  This reception is the 'observation'. This observation leads to 'Satyata' or 'permanence' in the 'pratigrahah'/capturability as discussed here (1). Thus the quantum wavefunction is said to collapse and the deterministic particle nature becomes perm...

Wavefunction Collapse - From Brhadharanyaka Upanishad

Background In the previous blog posts I had talked about vAk a four-fold design pattern in the evolution of Universe. If Universe's evolution is seen as evolution of energies, particles and states of matter, essentially cosmological evolution, then Rg Veda talks of vAk from Universe's cosmological evolution. If Universe's evolution is modeled as a biological body, then Brhadharanyaka Upanishad talks of vAk as a biological evolution.  If Universe's evolution is modeled as consciousness, then Mandukya upanishad talks of vAk as human consciousness evolution.  If Universe's evolution is modeled as speech, then vAkyapadiya talks of vAk as evolution of speech.  vAkyapadiya in terms of ‘expression’ Rgveda in terms of Universe Brhadharanyaka Upanishad in terms of biological being Mandukya Upanishad in terms of consciousness saMkhya kArika in terms of Instruments of Atman, the karaNas Science Para Para Manas sarvajjna/ The 'kn...

Brhadharanyaka Upanishad - Sloka 1.4.16 and 1.4.17

Background The Sloka 1.4 of Brhadharanyaka Upanishad traces the evolution (ati-sRsti) from Atma's ichha to split Purusha to the evolution of manuSya. This evolution is a series of 'Pancha mahA yajnA' which I talked about earlier (1). Brahma Yajna, which is the Cosmic inflation epoch, Deva Yajna which is upto Quark Epoch, Bhuta Yajna which is upto Matter domination epoch, Pitr Yajna which is upto evolution of macromolecules that have desire to have offspring (and hence called Pitr) and manuSya yajna which is upto evolution of Human beings (who can reside in a place and grow food). The pancha mahA yajnA In each of the Yajna, there is a Purusha which is 'dark', 'invisible', 'witnessing', 'catalytic' and not taking part. There is a pazu, which is the visible part. The visible part undergoes the sacrifice. The result of the Yajna (sacrifice), the Havis, is newer forms that did not exist before. In Brahma Yajna, Purusha is dark energy ...

Brhadharanyaka Upanishad - Sloka 1.4.15 and 16

Background Atman establishes Purusha and Stri. The empty space is filled with Stri. Stri are background oscillations of energy that fill the vacuum. Purusha is the 'dark' component (dark energy). On top of the stri that fills the vacuum, brahman manifests first. Brahman is the process of evolution. This brahman, the process of evolution is inside of everything. It is ati-sRsti, the super-creation, in which higher and higher order beings evolve from lower order matter and beings. The Atman manifests as Izvara, the virtual binding between all manifestations, make them interact and evolve. But for evolution, this binding has to be between independent 'self'. It cannot be like a domesticated cattle which becomes dependent on manuSya. An example from science domain is the EM binding in an atom and strong force binding in Quark-Gluon Plasma. The EM binding mediated by virtual  photons between proton and electron enables them to retain the 'self' (their ide...

Brhadharanyaka Upanishad - Sloka 1.4.11 to 1.4.14

The process of evolution embedded in Stri, then evolves kSatra (Energy/power) , Vizam (dwelling/mass)  and Zudra (physically nourishing).  This is how the social classification of humans into Ksatriyas, Vaizyas and Zudras evolved...

Brhadharanyaka Upansihad - Sloka 1.4.9 and 1.4.10

Background The desire (preyas) for Atman that is deep inside in every being is spoken externally, spills out as love (priyam) of other beings also, and thus this desire/love gets 'banked', binding all the matter/beings of the Universe. Thus Izvara manifests. Izvara is the love of not just the Atma inside, but other Atmas outside. All beings remain on that love and worship/serve that love.  Beings that remain on that love never imperish due to that love. This was the message of Upanishad upto sloka 1.4.8. But that love, priyam that binds beings, if excessive, may not allow beings to evolve further or have their own self. This is seen in the sloka with mahA vAkya 'Aham Brahma asmi'. Summary of Sloka from 1.4.1 to 1.4.8 Atma tore apart the Purusha. Stri filled the empty space/vacuum. Yajnavalkya says tearing apart was like a pea torn apart, which means it is so swift. In cosmic science parlance, it is the Cosmic inflation that expanded the space and fille...
